PILLOWS IN DE LEEUWENHOEK

Residents of care home De Leeuwenhoek give their clothes to the hands of Das Leben am Haverkamp, stitching a soft embrace of the past into full-body cushions. Witness as they are revealed for the first time on June 12, unleashed to embrace, lounge, gaze. Proximity won’t just be felt: it will be made.

Das Leben am Haverkamp stitched, mended and unleashed the fluffy creations made from the clothes of the residents at Leeuwenhoek. Scratching through the surface of cotton and memories, textures melt and dissolve into a warm intoxication. Each cushion now resting on the laps of chairs and residents closing the distance of memories and touch.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, the wonderful team at Extra Extra and all the residents and workers at De Leeuwenhoek for letting desire slip into every fold. Let’s continue unfolding new memories.
