RENT OUR WORKSHOP
Rent our workshop to work in. It has basic woodworking tools and appliances, a goldsmithing workspace and includes our professional textile workshop.

LOCATION
We are located in the center of The Hague, within 10 minutes walking distance of both Central Station and Den Haag HS. It is a 5 minute walk from the nearest parking garage and tram.

AVAILABILITY
Outside our curated program as announced in our agenda. Upon request. You rent per half a day or full day.

GOOD TO KNOW
You'll get a simple tour at the start of the renting period and will be working independently. If you need additional instructions, let us know in your request. Some of our excuiptment require an instruction for safety reasons, so it is good to know what machinery your will need for your project.

You are responsible for bringing materials you use up. For example wood, screws, plugs, fabric and thread.

It is not possible to work with spray paints and spray glues in our space.

COSTS
We work with a tier price list. Please get in touch about the nature of your work and situation and we will discuss costs with you. Das Leben am Haverkamp is also able to help with a formal invitation letter for funding purposes for artists and designers.

AMENITIES TEXTILE WORKSHOP

  • two domestic sewing machines

  • one industrial sewing machine

  • one heavy duty sewing machine with walking foot

  • domestic overlocking machine

  • a professional ironing table and steam iron

  • a high cutting table

  • a big mirror

  • a simple styrofoam mannequin (female, size 36-ish)

  • rulers, pin, neeldes, scissors, chalk and weights

  • medium size heat press

  • library with patern- and textile knowledge

  • lots of (day)light


AMENITIES GOLDSMITHING WORKSPACE

  • various handtools such as hammers, tweezers, forging tools, files

  • sawing equipment

  • oxygen torch and soldering materials

  • micromotor including various brushes, drills, cutters

  • bench drill with clamping systems

  • polishing machines

  • ring devices

  • dapping punch

  • drawplates and bench

  • casting materials


There is a possiblity to use a small wet workspace in addition to our main workspaces. It is equipped for casting plaster and working with resins.
